Krak Chocolate

Krak was created after Mark Schimmel worked for many years as a pastry chef and restaurant patissier with the versatile (and also his favourite) product chocolate. Prior to his adventure with Krak Chocolade, Mark had extensive experience as a pastry chef and chef de patisserie working at the highest level. Mark has known from the start that chocolate is his great passion. In two of the top restaurants where Mark worked, they used the most expensive caviar, the best wines and the most delicious truffles, but not the best or homemade chocolate. This got him thinking, this had to change!

Mark bought two small chocolate machines and started experimenting with making his own chocolate. After years of perfecting these machines, the result is the chocolate that Krak is famous for: Chocolate as chocolate is meant to be! Each type of cocoa has its own process; one cocoa bean needs to be roasted at a slightly higher temperature for a shorter period of time, while another needs to be rolled a little longer in order to get the most out of the aromas. Krak chocolate is now a professional chocolate maker. Krak already has 20 sales outlets in the Netherlands, Germany, England and France.
